Mahomes turns 29 on Tuesday, September 17.

Patrick Mahomes got to celebrate twice on Sunday, September 15 after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to victory against the Cincinnati Bengals before his wife threw him a surprise party for his birthday, but why were Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift no shows?
The soon-to-be-29-year-old struggled against the Bengals at the Arrowhead Stadium but still did enough to ensure his team moved to a 2-0 record for the 2024/25 NFL season as they chase an unprecedented third Super Bowl in a row.
Working out as 26-25 winners, they managed to evade defeat against a stern Joe Burrow test and it was something worth celebrating as they showed they’ve still got their mojo and it only got better for the quarterback when he returned to his mansion.
His wife, Brittany, had organized a party two days in advance of his actual birthday on September 17 and decorated their home in Missouri with black, red and silver balloons and a sign reading “Patrick’s 29th” to welcome guests to the event.
The party also included a large 29 mirror for attendees to pose for pictures to upload to social media, whilst there was also another 29 decorated by bright LED lights in case anyone forgot how old the NFL star was turning.
Brittany also made sure everyone got to see some photos of Mahomes as a youngster, scattering them around the home whilst she also made sure there were customized plastic cups for drinking with his baby face on them.
Why was Taylor Swift not there?
Neither Travis Kelce nor Taylor Swift attended the party, despite their close relationship with the Mahomes, after the pop star was also spotted avoiding Brittany at the Arrowhead Stadium for the second week in a row.
The Eras Tour singer has been left in a tricky PR spot after the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model appeared to endorse Donald Trump for the White House.
Swift then avoided her in Week 1’s clash with the Baltimore Ravens and in Week 2 chose to spend time with Mecole Hardman Jr.’s fiancee instead.
It’s intriguing that they were not spotted together again after they so publicly enjoyed the US Open final together along with Kelce and Mahomes, where they ate food and shared drinks (except the pregnant Brittany) as Jannik Sinner became the men’s singles champion.
