He managed eight catches for 86 yards, but mostly importantly scored two touchdowns.

That helped the Chiefs to a tough 30-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime at the Arrowhead Stadium.

And it continued the Super Bowl winners unbeaten start to the season, taking their record to 8-0.

Hopkins is regarded as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

But he has always struggled to show his full capabilities while playing in a struggling Titans team.

Now he is with the superstar-filled Chiefs, led by MVP quarterback Mahomes.

And Hopkins got emotional about being teamed up with the 29-year-old.

Fans claimed to have spotted a tear in the eye of the 32-year-old during his post game interview with ESPN.

“Honestly, words can’t describe it,” said Hopkins after being asked about Mahomes.

“Been patient, this is a dream come true to get my first win in a stadium like this, on a team like this.

“Just got to keep building momentum.

“I manifested this, I’ve seen this already.

“Me and my mom new this day would come.

“I’m just being present and in the moment.”

Hopkins was also asked about how he was able to have such a huge game on just his second start.

He only had two catches for 29 yards on his debut against the Las Vegas Raiders last week.

“The way these coaches help me prepare, day in and day out,” he added.

“I come in early and I leave late.

“The coaches, it’s not just me, it’s everybody.

“Just preparing me to come out here and be successful.

Fans reacted with delight at Hopkins’ interview, and claimed he was in tears throughout it.

One said: “He was literally in tears talking about what it’s like playing with Patrick Mahomes.

“You don’t see this, pretty crazy.”
