Amid the destruction, many residents have rushed to save their most valuable possessions before escaping – including their cars.

While many vehicles have been left behind in some of the fire-ravaged areas, other, incredibly valuable examples, have managed to be saved and left to shelter from the flames – including an impressive collection found parked up at a McDonald’s restaurant many miles away.

Spotted in Calabassas, California, one gearhead was blown away by the sight of multiple Mercedes, a vintage Shelby and a Ferrari.

19-year-old Jordan, who spoke to Luxury Auto News, said: “I was honestly shocked at first.

“The way we entered the parking lot, you could see a vintage Mercedes 180 and a vintage Shelby GT350 – both very rare cars

“Then peaking in I saw a yellow Ferrari, and as we pulled in closer a Mercedes 300sl.

“That alone is worth anywhere from one to seven million dollars.

“And it’s just sitting in a public parking lot.”

He also reveals that, upon finding the owner of the plush vehicles, he learned they were forced to move them quickly – or risking losing them to what now ranks as the second-most destructive fire in Southern California’s history.

Jordan shared the video of the collection to TikTok, where it has gathered over 830,000 views so far.

In the clip, Jordan is in the passenger seat of his friend’s car as they drive into the car park.

He then gets out of the car and roams around the expensive fleet of autos, showing a Porsche, Mercedes, Ferrari and Mustang.

Jordan captioned the clip: “A 300sl is crazy.”

Many commenters on TikTok were equally amazed.

One wrote: “I’d stay and defend those cars myself, holy.”

And another commented: “Imagine how worried he is.”

A third said: “Get some private security up there quick.”

And another user added: “This made me so emotional they lost their homes but they tried to save what they had left. And it’s still at risk.”

Jordan added: “I kept in touch with the owner and they told me they have since moved the cars from that spot.

“It was so unexpected as in California you see plenty of nice rare and expensive cars that are usually kept away and hidden from the world.

“To see cars like that out in the wild, in a public lot, left there in desperation, was very wild to me.

“I’m happy to know that the cars are safe.”
