In folk art, there’s nothing as popular as tattoos.
It’s been here for hundreds and thousands of years, and people love getting things inked on them, which may or may not have some importance attached to it. However, there are also those times when people go above and beyond, getting inks on unusual spots on their bodies. Even longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who has his fair share of impressive tattoos, isn’t a big fan of tattoos in unusual body spots.
Joe Rogan is no stranger to tattoos. He’s got boatloads of them, and of course, he’s got his arm tattoos which stand out when Rogan wears a T-shirt. But even he admits that he has some boundaries when it comes to getting inked, and while talking about it, he made an honest confession about rapper Post Malone and country singer Jelly Roll’s tattoos.
Are Post Malone’s tattoos strange? Joe Rogan opines
During a recent episode of the JRE podcast, Joe Rogan stated, “Someone’s got tattoos on their hands, like, ‘Jesus! What is she doing?” That’s the reaction he has whenever he sees people going a little overboard with their tattoos. Then he would talk about the main spot of the body where getting a tattoo may be the most unwise decision ever, the face.
Rogan would even admit that some of his friends have face tattoos, such as the aforementioned Jelly Roll and Post Malone. “The face is the real problem. That’s a little wacky, but I have a lot of friends. Like Jelly Roll… He’s got tattoos all over his face… [and] Post Malone. He’s [Malone] got a bunch of written sh-t all over his face,” Joe Rogan told his guest, Andrew Huberman, on JRE #2195.
The JRE host has had both Jelly Roll and Post Malone on his show, and their conversations were pretty interesting, as both episodes received good responses from viewers. They even became off-screen pals, and as far as Rogan is concerned, Roll’s and Malone’s personalities are infectious enough to divert people’s attention from their unusual tattoos.

“The thing about Jelly Roll and Post, once you talk to them, you don’t see the tattoos anymore. You just see the human. It’s just like they’re wearing a shirt. It’s like nothing, you know, it’s normal,” Joe Rogan added. Meanwhile, there was one instance, as per Post Malone, when his face tattoos became a real problem in Australia.
‘Rockstar’ singer disallowed in an Australian bar because of his tattoos
Some time ago, more than a year perhaps, Post Malone paid a visit to Down Under in Perth, presumably for a show. During his time there, he decided to go to a bar one evening when he stumbled across the QT Perth Hotel. Malone stepped in to go to the rooftop bar when the hotel staff denied him entry because of his tattoos. “They turned me away for my tattoos,” the Syracuse rapper told ‘The Western Australian’.
Post Malone would admit that despite having more than sixty tattoos on his body, he’d never had to go through such a situation wherever he’s been. “I’ve never really experienced anything like that,” the 29-year-old added. However, the hotel staff soon issued an apology for the ruckus in a statement, that read, “On Saturday night, our third-party security did not exercise the appropriate discretion and we take full responsibility for this.”
Do you think Post Malone would ever visit that place again? That remains to be seen. Nevertheless, give us your take on Joe Rogan’s thoughts about Post Malone and also Jelly Roll’s tattoo in the comments below.
