The ‘Son of a Sinner’ singer also received kudos amid his ongoing weight loss journey.
Jelly Roll is winning viewers over with his special performance alongside country duo Brooks & Dunn at the 2024 CMA Awards.
During Wednesday night’s awards show held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., the trio took the stage for an intimate performance of the duo’s 2005 hit “Believe.”
Viewers were so touched by the emotional moment that they claimed to have gotten “chills” and remained adamant the Nov. 20 rendition of the piece “made it a hit again.”
“Jelly Roll can sing any song and take you to church with it….but he and Brooks & Dunn just made grown men in the audience cry when he sang their classic song Believe…only Jelly Roll could do that,” one fan boldly claimed on X (formerly Twitter). “Believe has always been a GREAT song but Jelly made it a hit again #CMAawards.”
“Brooks and Dunn with Jelly Roll singing Believe together was a tear jerker!” another declared. “So beautiful. That will be the best performance of the night!#CMAawards.”

One more dubbed it “the collab we needed.”
Jelly Roll was nominated in several categories at the 2024 CMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. The annual awards show also featured performances by Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Post Malone, Shaboozey, and more.
Aside from his performance and several nominations, the rising star–who was also photographed with his wife, Bunnie XO, and fellow musician Megan Moroney while inside the event–was celebrated over a recent milestone in his health journey, losing 100 pounds.

His nutrition coach, Ian Larios, spoke about his progress as Jelly Roll continues the Beautifully Broken Tour, sharing some of the things the singer eats to fuel up for performances. In the clip, Jelly Roll proudly declared of his health journey, “Next year, when y’all see me, you won’t recognize me.”
Taking a break from the tour to attend the CMA Awards, the singer’s progress so far was on display and he looked fantastic, and fans cheered on the star on social media, including sports analyst Pat McAfee, who wrote, “Atta baby BUBBA.. LOOKING THIN.”
“Sugar free Jelly Roll looking good,” another praised.
