Lainey Wilson Stuns NFL Audience with Dazzling Halftime Performance

Lainey Wilson recently showed off her skills at the CMA Awards as well, where she also hosted the show with Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan. She gave a stunning performance of her recent hit “4x4xU” with an incredible backdrop, and recently shared the inspiration behind the song.

According to Wilson, she’s been writing more songs about her current relationship with Devlin “Duck” Hodges. “4x4xU” is about “finding that someone that gives you the comfort and peace of home anywhere in the world as long as you’re by their side,” she said, adding, “The truth is, I write what I know, and I finally found a man worth writing about. I got me a cheerleader.

“We wrote that song in 30 minutes. I don’t normally write songs in 30 minutes. I’ll write for six hours and maybe come back to it the next day. I want to, like, go through it with a fine-tooth comb but this was not one that I felt I needed to do that,” she recalled in a recent interview. “It just was what it was.”
