Jason Aldean reacts to Carrie Underwood’s Trump inauguration blunder: ‘It’s a hard song to do’
Jason Alden is praising this all-American girl.
The country star shared his two cents on Carrie Underwood’s a capella performance of “America the Beautiful” during Donald Trump’s inauguration Monday.
“First of all, it’s a hard song to do anyway, and when you’re supposed to be singing to a track and that’s what gives you pitch reference for the song,” Aldean, 47, shared on Tuesday’s “Fox & Friends.”
“To not have that, for her to just kinda say, ‘All right, listen, we’ll go.’ That’s a big move and that’s a pro move on her part, so I thought it was great.”

During the ceremony, Underwood, 41, sang the patriotic anthem but experienced technical difficulties and was told to perform without music.
The “American Idol” alum stood there ready to go with a microphone in hand when she was abruptly informed of technical issues by a man wearing a headset.
“Just sing?” she asked him. “I can just sing it.”
“You know the words — help me out here,” Underwood told the room before belting out the lyrics.

Before the monumental day, Underwood reflected on the honor to perform.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” she told The Post in a statement. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
Aldean, for his part, performed at the Liberty Ball for the president’s supporters.

Aldean’s wife, Brittany, echoed her husband’s sentiments, taking to Instagram to celebrate her other half and the 47th president.
“INAUGURATION NIGHT,” Brittany, 36, wrote Monday. “What a ride it’s been! Today has made all the scrutiny worth it. Wouldn’t change a thing.”

Originally, Underwood’s decision to perform sparked controversy from some critics — including the ladies of “The View.”
While Whoopi Goldberg said “I stand behind her,” co-host Sunny Hostin explained that if she was a singer, she would give a “hard no” to the invite.
Alyssa Farah Griffin predicted that it might be a business decision for Underwood, who might “make a lot of money off of it.”

Lee Greenwood, who sang “God Bless the USA” at the inauguration, defended Underwood amid the backlash.
“I pity those people that think they have to reach out to a star like her and run some negativity past her when all you have to do is say, ‘Thank you for performing for our next president,’ ” he exclusively told The Post. “I mean, he is the next president. Come on. Stop this negative crap.”
Underwood has never revealed a candidate that she’s voted for in the past.
“There is someone I do support, but I don’t support publicly,” Underwood told TV Guide in 2008.
“I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate. It’s saying that the American public isn’t smart enough to make their own decisions. I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to.”
