Jamie Foxx enlists Snoop Dogg to warn daughter’s boyfriend: ‘If she hurt, you hurt!’
Jamie Foxx recently revealed a humorous tale of enlisting his longtime friend, Snoop Dogg, to send a protective warning to one of his daughter’s boyfriends. The actor shared the anecdote during an interview on Capital XTRA’s Breakfast Show while promoting his latest Netflix film, Back In Action, alongside co-star Cameron Diaz.
A Father’s Protective Streak
When asked about his parenting style, the Oscar-winning actor, 57, admitted he can be hands-on and protective of his daughters. Recalling one memorable encounter, Foxx said, “My oldest daughter was dating this guy. I had already done a background check on him, but Snoop happened to be at my house that day. I pointed him out to Snoop and said, ‘Snoop, there he is. Shake him up!’”
Foxx continued, imitating Snoop’s laid-back demeanor: “Snoop walks over to him and says, ‘Hey, what’s up, homie? You know, if she hurt, you hurt.’” The actor joked that the interaction left a lasting impression on the young man.
While protective, Foxx also expressed the importance of letting his children experience life on their own terms. “You have to let them live their own lives,” he added, balancing humor with a touch of sincerity.
