Miranda Lambert Raises Over $200K For Animals Displaced By Wildfires
It’s easy to forget, amid the thousands of displaced people and burnt homes, that there are also animals affected by the LA wildfires.
But, Miranda Lambert has stepped up, making sure that the animals left with nothing, have a fund to put them right. She has managed to raise an incredible $200k to put towards the care of the animals of the wildfires. She has been working alongside lifestyle retailer Tractor Supply and her own animal care organization, MuttNation Foundation.
Speaking out on her Instagram to her almost 5 million subscribers she said “Starting today at Tractor Supply, at checkout you can donate either online or in person and 100% of that continues to go to relief funds.” As a result, she has pulled in a huge amount of money to help the animals affected.
Thousands of Animals Affected By LA Wildfires
Across the city are thousands of animals that have been left homeless by the wildfires. In some cases, they were abandoned as the owners had to flee. The evacuation orders came at a moment’s notice for many residents of LA, and it wasn’t possible to bring along their pets.
But, the money raised by MuttNation and Miranda Lambert’s efforts is going towards keeping them safe. They are being taken in, and given shelter until the fires pass. Hopefully, once people are able to start rebuilding, they will visit the shelters and pick up their furry family.
The money collected by the foundation will go toward the many shelters for animals affected by the wildfires. At the moment, they will be under more strain than ever before as pets across the city are left without somewhere to return. This foundation will help put owners’ minds at ease, knowing there may be someone looking after their pets.
Of course, it isn’t only pets that have been displaced by the wildfires. The inferno has ripped through hundreds of miles of woodland and natural reserves too. This will have destroyed the homes of many wild animals across the county. It will be a long time before normalcy is able to return to LA/.
