Just over a year after being released from jail, rapper and father of producer/occasional emcee Hit-Boy, Big Hit, has unfortunately landed back behind bars.
The 3-time Grammy winner shared the news about his father, born Chauncey Hollis Sr., 52, on Wednesday (Oct. 23), with a video message from Big Hit.
“It’s free Big Hit, my n***a,” the Blacks & Whites co-artist said in the clip below. “You know what I’m saying, I fuck with my real fans, my n***a.”
He continued, “If y’all fucking with me, go ‘head and download my CDs and cash out on my merch.”

Hit-Boy also provided an heartfelt explanation about his father’s legal status.
“People used to ask me what was i on dropping so much music and moving around with my pops so much, in the back of my mind the paranoia of him going back was always there and here we are..” he began.
The West Coast artist also promised new music from Big Hit, as the duo have been on a nonstop run since the rapper’s prison release.
“We don’t know what the future holds but Big Hit sends his love to all his supporters. He recorded over 700 songs when he was out so we got more music otw.”
In a interview with Men’s Health, which published in January, Big Hit shared that served 15 years of prison time for being busted “with 10 kilos of cocaine, ten guns, and $300,000 in cash.” After being out of prison for six years, Big Hit served another 12 years for a hit-and-run incident.
Over the last year, Big Hit and Hit-Boy have collaborated on multiple projects, including the aforementioned Blacks & Whites with The Alchemist, Paisley Dream with The Game, and Surf or Drown, Vol 2.
“I’m excited] to be recognized as a real artist that gets his respect from spitting, and not just riding on my son’s coattail,” Big Hit told Complex about the latter album last August. “Because he can make anybody sound like that nigga, but I’m really cut like that. [Adding Hit-Boy] is just like icing on the cake, but don’t get it fucked up, it’s still a bomb cake without the icing.”
