The appearance comes amid rumors of tension between Swift and the Mahomes family, but the group appeared to put those reports to rest with a united front at the tennis event.

Recent speculation suggested a rift between Swift and Brittany, supposedly due to political differences, with some reports claiming that Swift and Patrick Mahomes deliberately kept their distance during a Chiefs game.

However, the supposed feud seemed overblown as Swift and Brittany were seen warmly hugging each other at the tournament, suggesting no signs of discord.

Despite their public display of friendship, some fans voiced disappointment on social media, criticizing Swift for maintaining ties with the Mahomes family.

Many pointed to Brittany Mahomes‘ support of Donald Trump, questioning Swift‘s decision to stay connected. Others raised concerns about Brittany defending her brother-in-law, Jackson Mahomes, amid his ongoing legal issues related to sexual assault allegations.

Some fans were quick to accuse Swift of being a “coward” for not distancing herself from the Mahomes family in light of these controversies.

“Remember in her documentary when she said she thinks it’s so cowardly of her to wish happy pride month and then not stand up when someone literally comes at them… and now she’s best friends with someone who supports him and has been silent about literally everything?” a fan wrote.
