If Miranda Lambert Had To Go to Jail With Anyone, She’d Pick This Country Music Star (And We’re Honestly Not Surprised)
Miranda Lambert has been making country music for the vengeful girlies since 2005. And she showed no signs of stopping in 2024 with the fiery “Wranglers,” off her 10th studio album Postcards From Texas. Even at 41, Lambert is still “hell on heels,” so the thought of her behind bars isn’t that far of a leap. Keep reading to learn who the “Mama’s Broken Heart” hitmaker would choose as her cellmate.
Miranda Lambert: “This Country Star “Has a Little Bit More Bad in Her Than She Shows”
Miranda Lambert kicked off 2025 live from her Nashville bar, Casa Rosa, where she performed “Livin’ on the Run” off Postcards From Texas. Prior to taking the stage, the nine-time Female Vocalist of the Year met up with Bunnie Xo, wife of Jelly Roll and CMT backstage correspondent for CBS’ New Year’s Eve Live Nashville’s Big Bash.
Bunnie was curious to know which hypothetical “New Year’s Eve buddy” that Lambert would find the most trouble with. “I mean, what are we trying to do here?” asked the “Dammit Randy” singer.
“We’re trying to go to jail,” Bunnie replied.
“Okay, well, if I have to go to jail with somebody, I pick Lainey Wilson,” Lambert said.
“I’d probably get her in trouble,” continued the three-time Grammy winner. “She has a little bit more bad in her than she shows, I bet.”
Wilson, 32, refers to Lambert as her “country music big sister.” The two’s close bond has already given us the spirited collab “Good Horses,” off Wilson’s 2024 album Whirlwind. We have no doubt that these two could (and probably already have) get into some pretty epic shenanigans.
What Happens When These Two Drink Together
It seems Miranda Lambert has already gotten to work on Lainey Wilson. During an August 2024 appearance on the Taste of Country Nights: On Demand podcast, host Evan Paul asked the “Hang Tight Honey” singer to fill in the blank.
“One time I got drunk with Miranda Lambert and _____,” Paul said.
Wilson quickly replied, “Smoked too many cigarettes.”
“I don’t smoke unless I’m around her,” admitted the Entertainer of the Year. “She does it to me every time. I’m like, ‘Lord!’”
