Blake Shelton has told us one of the worst mistakes he’s ever made in his life, although it’s now a permanent part of him.

Life is full of regrets, and no matter who you are, you’ve had some. Blake Shelton has shined a light on one of his biggest regrets when he spoke to CMT.

In the snippet shared by the outlet, Shelton says that his one and only tattoo is one of the worst mistakes he’s made. Or, at least he thought that at the time.

“You know they say that tattoos are addictive? I got this tattoo about 20 years ago and decided it was, in the moment, one of the worst mistakes of my life,” he said. “And I’m never doing that again, and I stuck to that.”

To his credit, it is indeed his only tattoo, which means the regret lingers with him to this day. Every time he notices his tattoo, he’s reminded of the one action he wished he never went through with.

Okay, this is a little less dramatic than I’ve made it sound, but we’re not the ones who have to live with a tattoo they’re not overly fussed with.

The tattoo in question consists of two barbed wires that wrap around his left forearm. Between them are animal footprints, and honestly, it’s not an awfully bad tattoo. It’s hardly hideous, but his opinion is the only one that matters.

It’s funny seeing Blake Shelton saying how much he hates his tattoo when you’ve got Cody Johnson who’s equally proud of his many tattoos.

Fans took to the comments to share their thoughts on the matter. And, for the most part, they are pretty brutal.

It does turn out that his fans really aren’t fans of his tat.

“It is a pretty terrible tattoo,” says one, bluntly.

“He can get rid of it and I’d love him a little more,” writes another.

“That’s because your tattoos sucks lol,” honestly comments someone else.

“At least his tatt is minimalist lol,” laughs one more.
