Bills’ Josh Allen Can Surpass Patrick Mahomes in Key Stat on Sunday

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has the opportunity to surpass Patrick Mahomes in a key statistic on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

The Buffalo Bills will look to advance to 5-2 on Sunday when they host the Tennessee Titans.

The Bills were able to get back into the win column last week, solidifying them as the top team in the AFC East through six games. A huge reason for their success this season has been Josh Allen, who has continued to prove he’s one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league.

With a strong performance on Sunday, which is Allen’s 100th career start, he can surpass superstar Patrick Mahomes in a massive early-career statistic.

If Allen scores four touchdowns on Sunday, he will surpass Mahomes in total touchdowns through 100 career starts at 238. If he was somehow able to score seven touchdowns, he would surpass Aaron Rodgers for the all-time record in total touchdowns through 100 career starts.

Regardless, if Allen is even just able to match Mahomes’ number it would be a very impressive feat. Many have always put Mahomes in his own tier among quarterbacks, which can be warranted considering he already has three Super Bowls, but Allen has been able to keep up with him when it comes to scoring and statistics.

Despite Allen putting up such impressive numbers, he is just a two-time Pro Bowler and one-time second-team All-Pro through six full seasons. However, with the MVP race seemingly still wide open through six weeks, Allen has a chance to prove doubters wrong this year in both the regular-season and postseason.
