Beyoncé’s Mom Tina Knowles Puts Critics in Their Place for Hating Daughter’s NFL Halftime Show
On Christmas day, the Baltimore Ravens took the field to take on the Houston Texans. Looking to expand their dominance of the NFL, the Ravens completely dismantled the Texans to win 31-2. Although a complete blowout, many tuned into the game to watch Beyoncé perform during the halftime show. Given the popularity surrounding her debut country album, Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé decided to perform a few hit songs from the album. And while some criticized the performance, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, slammed critics for their ongoing attacks on the singer.
While transforming the NFL field into a stage, Beyoncé not only offered a spectacular performance but she wasn’t alone. Throughout the performance, the singer welcomed other stars like Shaboozey and Post Malone. Having worked with the singer before, the three seemed right at home. And to end the performance, Beyoncé took to the air as the stage lifted her up. Still, even with all the gimmicks and surprises, people seemed to find issues with the performance.
Tired of hearing the criticism, Knowles shared a picture of Beyoncé on her Instagram, writing, “My sentiments exactly! It is mind-boggling to me that you would take your precious Christmas day and watch a performance of someone you hate and you don’t think has talent so that you can go talk ish about it later.”
Calling the critics obsessed and addicted to Beyoncé, Knowles claimed they secretly wished to be the singer. “You cannot help but to watch and critique and comment and say dumb ridiculous stuff that makes you look like a joke !!”
Tina Knowles Offers Solution To Those Criticizing Beyoncé’s Performance
While Knowles understood that not every person would love Beyoncé’s performance, she offered a quick fix to those not wanting to watch. “ Go to another channel when it’s halftime watch goofy cartoons or Bozo the clown or something you can relate to and see yourself in. Said with love.”
As for Beyoncé, Knowles praised her daughter and her unwavering spirit. “I have learned so much from her warrior spirit, of when they go low I work harder ‘No weapon formed against me shall prosper’ one ,two , three waiting for the fake bots to come.’”
