It’s been several months since Asher HaVon hoisted the season 25 trophy above his head after The Voice viewers crowned him champion. The 31-year-old Selma, Alabama-born gospel artist dazzled viewers with his flamboyant stage presence and deeply expressive vocals.
Throughout his time in the spotlight, HaVon has remained refreshingly candid about the ups and downs of appearing on national television. Recently, he took to social media to open up even further.
Asher HaVon Talks “Navigating Highs and Lows” Of Newfound Stardom
On Thursday (Sept. 19), Asher HaVon shared a post to his Instagram page that began with, “LONG POST ALERT.” True to that sentiment, the Voice champion proceeded to open up a portal into his mind.
“Becoming the face of something means navigating the highs and lows that come with it: the pressure, the anxiety, the love, and yes, even the hate,” he wrote.
HaVon had some words of wisdom for anyone hoping to break into the entertainment industry. “I wish I had known that the business side of this industry takes up 80% of the journey,” he wrote. “To anyone aspiring to join this world, please learn and prepare. It’s crucial to understand that not everyone will have your back—some may even revel in your struggles.”
The Alabaman went on to thank “everyone riding this rollercoaster with me.” He concluded the post with, “Thank you for loving me, as I will always love you—” a callback to his finale night performance on The Voice.
Social Media Rallies Around ‘The Voice’ Winner
Clearly, Asher HaVon did not overestimate the amount of support he has. Fans flooded the comment section to show their appreciation, matching his sincerity and passion. “You bless all of us with your gift! And I thank you sincerely!” one fan wrote on Instagram. “And we have all seen you grow tremendously throughout the show and beyond!”
Another fan praised HaVon’s “honesty and clear vision.”
“You do you, in whatever form that takes…it is after all YOUR life, you belong to no-one!” they wrote. “Keep it real and know you’re supported and Loved no matter how you show up.”
