Amanda Balionis shared her “special night” with her fans as she celebrated a “perfect full circle moment”.

CBS sports presenter Amanda had been taking part in a charity event for National Service Dog Day as she shared some pictures from the events of the day. She captioned the post: “It was a special night with @k9sforwarriors celebrating the unanimous passage of a historic bipartisan resolution designating September 20th (today!!) as National Service Dog Day!

“@puppiesandgolf was a proud sponsor of this celebration and it was an honor to hear the testimonials from Veterans about the life saving and changing benefits of having a service dog.

She continued: “I absolutely loved getting to meet Dave- a retired Master Sergeant with the Army National Guard- and his dog Doc. Doc was a puppy set to be euthanized because of overpopulation until K9s for Warriors adopted him. This incredible organization saves so many dogs like Doc, trains them to become service animals, who then turn around and save our Military Veterans who return from serving our country with invisible injuries.

“It’s a perfect full circle moment that deserves to be celebrated every day. Ten years ago, 24 veterans committed suicide a day. Now it’s down to 20 thanks in large part to organizations that train and provide service dogs. The work doesn’t stop until that number is at zero.”

Amanda has expressed her excitement about returning to NFL broadcasting after a stint covering golf. The CBS Sports presenter, who was a regular on golf coverage throughout the year, took a well-deserved break before making her NFL comeback in Week 2 at the Bank of America Stadium.

The upload comes after a few weeks after she bid an emotional farewell to the golf world. This month, the CBS Sports reporter transitioned from covering the PGA Tour to covering the NFL as football season gets underway.

Golf fans were disappointed to see Balionis move on from golf, but excited to see her on the sidelines of another seasonal sport. Sharing the news she wrote on Instagram: “That’s officially a wrap on the 2024 @golfoncbs season! This year had it all. From historic moments to heart shattering events and every other emotion you can imagine in between.

“I love this game. I love working in sports. Competing at the highest level requires and produces constant examples of inspiration, drama, unbridled joy, resilience, growth and teamwork. It’s an honor to be a very small part of a tremendous team that brings these moments and stories to life each weekend.”

Wrapping up the touching post she concluded: “If we left you with one new favorite player, or one memorable moment you shared with loved ones then we have done our jobs. Catch ya on the NFL sidelines until next season!”
