Watch Ella Langley Team Up with Maggie Antone, Carter Faith, and Madeline Edwards for “Cowboy Friends” at the EXIT/IN
2024 was a massive year for Ella Langley. She had a huge hit with “You Look Like You Love Me,” her collaboration with Riley Green. Additionally, she opened for Morgan Wallen on his One Night at a Time Tour. However, those major accomplishments won’t stop her from hitting some of the iconic smaller venues in Nashville. For instance, she recently performed at the EXIT/IN with a few of her pals.
The video below shows Langley taking the stage with fellow female country up-and-comers Maggie Antone, Carter Faith, and Madeline Edwards. They’re performing “Cowboy Friends” from Langley’s debut full-length album Hungover.
In the song, Langley sings about having plenty of cowboy friends. The group of artists on the stage proves that she also has plenty of talented friends. Antone’s debut album Rhinestoned was among the best to drop in 2024. Faith is another artist to keep an eye on. She has been releasing rock-solid tunes since 2020 with her latest being her 2024 EP The Aftermath. Edwards has been releasing music for nearly a decade and dropped her debut full-length, Crashlanded, in 2022.
Ella Langley Is Working on a New Album
After the huge year she just had, Ella Langley is on her way to the top of the country music world. The Alabama native seemingly plans to strike while the iron is hot. Instead of taking time to rest on her laurels, she’s carrying the moment of the last year into 2025 and working on a new album.
In late December, Langley appeared on the God’s Country podcast. During her conversation, she revealed that her sophomore album is already in the works. “I’m really excited about where I’m going next,” she said. “I’m really just letting God take the wheel, honestly,” she added.
“I think there is a level of honesty in my songs that not everyone has,” Langley said about her songwriting. “And I think that may be what’s going to set it apart a little bit,” she added.
While she’s letting the Man Upstairs guide her through the creation process, she’s taking inspiration from some country legends. “I’ve made this whole playlist I listen to every day of reference tracks just to kind get me in the headspace of where I want it,” she said of the inspiration for her next album. “I’ve been listening to a lot of Ronnie Milsap if that gives you any indication, a lot of George Jones.”
