Spring breakout game returns March 15

Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to camp on Feb. 11, with Aaron Boone holding his first media session at 1 p.m. that day. The first official workout for pitchers and catchers will follow on Feb. 12. Position players are set to arrive by Feb. 16, with the team’s first full-squad workout slated for Feb. 17.

Exhibition games kick off on Feb. 21, when the Yankees will host the Rays at Steinbrenner Field. Tampa Bay will temporarily use the facility as their home ballpark during the regular season after Hurricane Milton rendered Tropicana Field unplayable. The Yankees’ first road game of the spring is set for Feb. 22 in Dunedin against the Blue Jays.

Other highlights on the schedule include the second annual Spring Breakout Game against the Orioles on March 15 in Sarasota and the Yankees’ spring finale on March 24, when they face the Mets in Port St. Lucie.

The Yankees will return to the Bronx to open the regular season on March 27, welcoming the Brewers to Yankee Stadium for Opening Day.
