Chiefs’ Rashee Rice’s Mom Arrested as ‘Porch Bandit’ with Video Going Viral

Rashee Rice’s status with the NFL – which could suspend him – remains in limbo. The court date for his mom is set for late November.

Marsha Kearney, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, was recently apprehended after being accused of stealing parcels from a neighbor’s front-door area.

The arrest, fueled by a Ring doorbell recording – that is now a video going viral – and the ensuing police report, is the result of Kearney having surrendered to Tarrant County law enforcement officials a week after the warrant was put out for her arrest.

The charges also come on the heels of the news that Kearney – who in this video is wearing a red Chiefs No. 4 “MOMMA-RICE” jersey – was involved in the alleged stealing of household items from a unspecified man. Those earlier charges ended up being dismissed in June after the “completion of unspecified conditions,” per reports.

Rashee Rice himself experienced a troubling offseason when he too had a run-in with breaking the law, and a highly dangerous oone. Rice, sidelined for the remaining 2024 NFL season with a injury to his knee, was involved in a high-speed street racing hit-and-run incident which took place in Dallas in the spring. Shortly thereafter, he was arrested on a separate charge for aggravated assault.

Rice’s status with the NFL – which could suspend him – remains in limbo. The court date for Kearney, who in this alleged theft stole a package of music records from a neighbor – is set for late November.
