The Netflix star noted how the cast remains booked and busy – except one
QUEER Eye alum Skyler Jay thinks all but one of the Fab Five members will leave the show following Bobby Berk’s abrupt exit, he says in an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun.
The Netflix star opened up about his experience on the life-changing transformation series as well as the important work he’s been up to since his time in front of the cameras.

Skyler appeared on season 2 of the hit show as he was visited by the Fab Five during his transition journey as a transgender man.
Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness and Bobby Berk, before his departure, helped Skyler transform from the inside out.
The Fab Five have grown on to be international sensations due to their unique personalities and expertise – leading many to believe we’d be entertained by the group for years to come.
However, that all came to a crumbling halt earlier this year when it was shockingly announced that Bobby, 43, would not be returning to season 9 of Queer Eye.
The move came amidst allegations of on-set tension and toxicity with the cast as some viewers are now wondering, who’s next to go?
In an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun, Skyler, who has stayed close with members of the Fab Five, gave his opinion on who would be next to leave the show of the original four stars still left.
“Honestly, I don’t really know because they all stay so busy now,” he admitted.
“I know Karamo, he’s got a lot going on with his talk show and other projects and stuff like that.

“JVN, I know, has really started to dive full force into comedy and touring with that, which between watching their first tour to their second tour, they’ve made leaps and bounds as a stand-up comedian.
“And Tan always has some fashion project going on, on other shows with Netflix and things like that.
“Antoni really is, I feel like, the one who seems to have the coolest schedule. Yeah, it’s not as intense.
“Honestly, I could see any one of either Karamo or JVN or Tan venturing out on their own projects.”
Skyler reflected that in addition to new projects going on, the group is not the same as they were when the show first aired in 2017 – when the Fab Five were relatively unknown.
“Again, I think it goes back to who they were when season one and two were shot in the summer of 2017. It’s not who these people are today, which is the same as for myself.
“I’m not that same iteration of myself anymore either. We all learn, we all grow.
“If we’re allotting that space to ourselves and the heroes, why are we not allotting that to them as well?” Skyler said.
In the years since Queer Eye has premiered, Jonathan has launched a haircare business as well as gone on a nationwide comedy tour.
Karamo is going on season three of his talk show as well as making other television appearances.

Antoni’s main business venture, his NYC restaurant The Village Den, closed in 2021.
Skyler’s episode of Queer Eye has left a resounding impact on Netflix viewers – particularly the raw moment that was captured on camera when he looked down at his chest for the first time after undergoing top surgery.
The 2017 surgery marked the first for Skyler, who underwent two more top procedures in the years following the show that were flanked with a slew of medical issues he also had to battle.
MAKING A CHANGE
However, after years of various procedures, Skyler proudly revealed his medical transition journey is now complete following a successful bottom surgery he had done in Austin, Texas in October.
Though he’s still recovering (in the same gorgeous Atlanta apartment Bobby designed for him on the show), Skyler is on the mend and doesn’t foresee having to undergo any more surgeries related to his transition.
In the years since the show, Skyler’s advocacy for the transgender community has only grown, primarily through his work as co-founder of Aadya Rising – which provides support groups, mentorship and scholarships for marginalized people in the trans and queer community.
The activist and public speaker even went head to head with his employer, the University of Georgia, in a discrimination lawsuit that started in 2015 and concluded in 2019.
Skyler said that in 2019, the case did close in his favor as they were able to settle out of court to reward him $100,000 – which barely covered his legal fees and medical expenses.
The Georgia native remains active within his community and continues to make a difference through Aadya Rising, which fans can donate to and support online.
