Angel Reese shocked WNBA fans when she announced in early September that she had suffered a season-ending wrist injury. Reese went on TikTok to explain why she had been forced to sit out the rest of the season. She added that she would continue “modeling,” “podcasting” and remaining a “baddie.”

Although Reese has been wearing a cast, that hasn’t stopped her from showing off her flair for fashion. One fan noticed that the Chicago Sky star’s Instagram photos always include a good-sized Chanel bag.

@QuinThomasx commented on X, formerly Twitter:

The photos the fan commented on came out on Saturday. One featured Angel Reese in an all-red outfit while sitting inside a plane. Another had the All-Star forward wearing a white dress with a black Chanel bag. In both cases, the injured hand in cast had been well hidden.

The former LSU star suffered the injury in the Chicago Sky’s 92-78 win against the LA Sparks. She played 32 minutes and finished with 24 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal. The following day, she announced that X-rays spotted a “small crack” in her bone.

Angel Reese vows to work on her game despite the cast in her hand

In her TikTok video, Angel Reese also promised to keep working on her game despite the cast in her hand.

“So in the meantime, I will just be in my hard cast for four weeks. … During that time I’ll just be lifting, running, conditioning, shooting with my off hand, dribbling and doing stuff with my off hand, working on my nutrition.”

Shooting and dribbling with her offhand should help Reese improve her game. Last season, opponents sat on her left side most of the time, forcing her to mostly awkward shots. Even with her dominant hand, she still struggled to score within three feet of the basket.

Basketball fans will be interested to see how her game will develop over the offseason.

Angel Reese is expected to participate in January’s “Unrivaled” 3×3 basketball league. She should have enough time to heal and train for the event.
