Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark gave a shoutout to her teammate Aliyah Boston as she relived a major moment in her historic debut campaign. In a video feature shared by the Fever on X on Friday, Clark touched on, among other things, the moment she secured her second triple-double, which she partly gave credit to Boston.
As time was winding down in their 93-86 victory over the visiting LA Sparks on Sept. 4, Boston seemingly gave way for Caitlin Clark to secure her 10th rebound of the game to complete a triple-double, where she also scored 24 points and dished out 10 assists.
Clark shared of the triple-double:
“Shout out to AB (Boston). She kinda let me get that rebound, but I was lucky because it bounced right in my direction, so I had to get it…”

She went on to say what it was like to celebrate it with her teammates, saying:
“I think you can just tell, like, the joy that it brought to my teammates as well. Like, it just speaks to the team culture that we have here. Like, nobody really cares like about themselves. They just want what’s best for their teammates…”

The second triple-double that Clark notched was among the standout moments she had in her rookie season, which culminated in her winning the WNBA Rookie of the Year award hands down.
She also set the league’s single-season assist record with 337 dimes, single-season rookie records for points (769) and 3-pointers made (122), and the WNBA single-game record with 19 assists.
Clark averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists (league-high), 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in helping the Fever (20-20) return to the playoffs after eight years.
Aliyah Boston hopes to play more years alongside Caitlin Clark
Aliyah Boston is enjoying playing alongside Caitlin Clark and she hopes they have more fruitful years together on the court while helping the Indiana Fever achieve greater heights.
The 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year shared this in a comment she made on Clark’s appreciation post on Instagram over her historic rookie campaign.
Boston wrote:
“You deserve it all. Ready for moreee with you.”
The duo of Caitlin Clark and Boston, along with fellow All-Star Kelsey Mitchell, proved to be potent pieces as the Fever returned to competitiveness this season.
With them leading the way, Indiana made a seven-win improvement from last year. They finished with a 20-20 record, good for sixth spot in the standings, to earn a playoff berth for the first time in eight years.
With Caitlin Calrk facilitating and scoring, Boston also sharpened her other skills. She posted improved numbers of 8.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists, to go along with 14 points, while making it to her second straight WNBA All-Star Game.
