Blake Shelton Talks Burnout Ahead Of New Single
It’s no secret that Blake Shelton is one of the most successful country artists in the business. Even so, he continues to work like he doesn’t have a penny to his name. Shelton recently talked about burnout ahead of the release of his brand-new single. So, what did he have to say?
Blake Shelton Is One Of The Hardest Workers In The Business
For a lot of people, they want to achieve success so that, at some point in life, they can take it easy and enjoy it. However, when it comes to Blake Shelton, he never got that memo. Despite being one of the most successful country artists to come out in the last two decades, he still works like he is a struggling musician trying to make ends meet.
With the wealth that Blake Shelton and his wife, Gwen Stefani have combined, they could both never work another day in their lives and still be set. Yet, Blake continues to tour, continues to make music, and even continues to run other things, like his successful bar franchise.

Blake Shelton Gets Real About Burnout, Retirement, And More
Even though Blake Shelton still has a lot going on since he stepped down from The Voice, he recently talked about what that has been like for him, especially since he got off the “hamster wheel.” When you are in the middle of working as much as Blake was, it can be easy to get tunnel vision and forget about other aspects of your life.
Speaking on this to PEOPLE, Blake recently said: “The last couple of years, especially since I’ve retired from The Voice, I’ve just kind of been trying to be very mindful of the next thing that I do, be thoughtful about it and be sure that I’m not just doing things because I’m on the hamster wheel anymore. It happens, and before you know it, you go, ‘My God, where have the last 10 years gone?’”
Blake Releasing New Single, ‘Texas’
Leave it to Blake Shelton to talk about getting off the hamster wheel while also promoting a brand-new single. As the title of his new song suggests, the topic of his new single is both an ode to the state of Texas, as well as a not-so-subtle diss of his proud Texan ex, Miranda Lambert.
There’s nothing better than a song that has multiple meanings, and this latest song from Blake Shelton, “Texas,” masterfully functions as both a standalone single that’s an ode to the state of Texas, as well as a dig at his famous ex. Either way, the track just dropped, and already, listeners are loving it.
