Martha Stewart Says ‘Golden Bachelorette’ Men ‘Aren’t Hot Enough’ for Her to Star on the Show

Martha Stewart Says Golden Bachelorette Men 'Aren't Hot Enough'

Even for $1 million an episode, Martha Stewart wouldn’t consider appearing on The Golden Bachelorette. She dished on the possibility while appearing on the Sunday, October 20, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen alongside Snoop Dogg and Seth Meyers.

When host Andy Cohen asked Seth, 50, if he thought Martha, 83, and Snoop, 53, cared about the ABC dating show, the talk show host correctly guessed that “they don’t.” The unlikely pals actually had to get clarification about what The Golden Bachelorette even is. Andy, 56, explained the premise and Snoop replied, “Oh, no,” and Martha added, “Not at all,” regarding whether she “gives a damn” about the show.

Andy questioned whether Martha would participate in The Golden Bachelorette and she said, “Absolutely not.” When he threw out a hypothetical $1 million pay day, she stood firm, adding, “The guys aren’t hot enough.”

Snoop defended Martha’s decision and joked, “It’s not about the money, it’s about how hot the guys are. [Even] $10 million can’t get it if they don’t look right!”

Martha was previously married to Andrew Stewart from 1961 until 1990. They share a daughter, Alexis. “I haven’t talked to him for over 20 years,” the businesswoman told People on Monday, October 21. “Sadly.”

The confession came ahead of the release of Martha’s Netflix documentary, Martha, on October 30. In a trailer for the doc, Martha admitted to having an affair early on in her marriage to Andrew, but added, “I don’t think Andy ever knew about that.”

Andrew is reportedly “furious” that Martha is rehashing their old issues in her doc, according to NewsNation’s Paula Froelich. “Neighbors of Andy and his children say the publisher is furious as he is very private and feels he’s dragged into the drama … again,” Paula reported. Following Andy and Martha’s divorce, he married her assistant Robyn Fairclough and is now married to Shyla Nelson Stewart.

“Getting divorced was a terrible thing for me because we were the first to divorce in my family,” Martha admitted in 2020. “And that we haven’t spoken since the divorce is even more painful. But I’m very strong, and I’m very motivated to get on with life.”

Meanwhile, The Golden Bachelorette is currently in the midst of its first season on ABC. Joan Vassos is the show’s lead following her early departure from The Golden Bachelor in 2023 due to a family emergency. There are four men left – Pascal Ibgui, Chock Chapple, Jordan Heller and Guy Gansert – who are hoping to end up with the Maryland native.

On the upcoming Wednesday, October 23, episode, Joan, 61, will go on hometown dates with her final 4. She will meet their families and decide which three she wants to take to the fantasy suites, where they’ll get the opportunity to spend the night together without cameras.

However, things seem to take a turn during hometowns, with Joan admitting in a preview, “The conversations are not what I expected,” and later adding, “Now I might leave with nobody.” She had tears in her eyes as she came to the realization.
