LeBron James and his son Bronny are set to make history as the first father-son duo to play in the NBA at the same time in the upcoming season. There is widespread excitement among fans, players, and analysts to witness the James duo’s performance. Meanwhile, Los Angeles Lakers power forward Anthony Davis revealed a key moment that every Lakers fan is waiting for.
During the Lakers media day interview, Davis was asked if the Lakers lineup wants to see Bronny dunk on the all-time points leader. Davis, who played five seasons alongside James, responded, “For sure, he has to.”
“I know it was a great experience for them, a great moment for them when they heard his name called to the Lakers. It was a great moment for me just being around the family so much that I have been.” Davis added.
Bronny, who recently trolled his dad during the Lakers media day, was one of the most hyped players before the 2024 NBA draft. However, fans’ expectations were devastated when he was not selected in the first round. Later, in the second round, the Lakers selected him with the 55th pick.
Davis Is Excited to Witness the James Duo Dominance On The Court
During the Lakers media day, Anthony Davis, widely regarded as one of the greatest power forwards of all time, expressed his immense excitement for witnessing the James duo playing together for the first time. The 31-year-old forward described the experience as “surreal” and emphasized the unique nature of having Bronny on the same team as his father, LeBron James.
“I get to be a part of it and witness each and every practice, each game, each moment that they have for at least his first year. I can’t wait till they step on the floor together and officially make history. But it’s been super dope to watch so far.” Davis said.
The Lakers’ first preseason game of the upcoming NBA season will be against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Basketball enthusiasts and Lakers fans alike are eagerly looking forward to witnessing the father-son duo’s on-court synergy.
