The San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills are set to play on Sunday Night Football for Week 13.
Highmark Stadium is expected to be quite the scene when it comes to weather.
Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park is under a Winter Storm Watch for Sunday night’s San Francisco 49ers vs. Buffalo Bills game.
Fox Weather is reporting lake-effect snow bands could produce more than a half-foot of snow through parts of western New York.
The 49ers, Bills, and stadium fans are expected to see snow, experience extreme cold, and experience gusty winds.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo added that a significant long-duration lake-effect snow event is possible. This could make traveling near impossible, as visibility will be low.
The weather for this game could always change at any moment, but as of right now, expect snowy conditions all game long.
Bills And 49ers Are Heading In Different Directions
Riding a 9-2 record, the Bills are in a close race with the Chiefs for the #1 seed in the AFC. They need to continue to win while hoping Kansas City loses.
However, they have a tough remaining schedule to close out the regular season. In the next few weeks, they will take on the 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, and Detroit Lions.
At least Buffalo looks destined for a playoff spot and run.
On the other side, the 49ers are clinging to playoff hopes at 5-6 but still within striking distance in the NFC West.
San Francisco is coming off a Super Bowl LVIII appearance, and most analysts projected them to contend for another NFC crown.
With so many injuries, the team needs to rack up wins if it wants to compete for a potential Super Bowl.
