WNBA legend Candace Parker recently showed her wittiness during an NBA game. Parker, who is known to be terrorizing her opponents in her prime, has hung up her boots long back. Now, she has made a hilarious request to none other than LeBron James. It is not a new sight for hoops fans to watch Parker direct some hilarious banters towards several NBA legends.
In her recent antic, the WNBA legend posted a picture of her two-year-old son sitting alongside the Lakers’ legend. Posting a picture of the same, Parker urged King James to keep playing long enough so that her son could become his teammate. “Teammates one day?” wrote Parker on her X account.
This was a nod to the popular joke that LeBron James has conquered Father Time. After all, despite nearing 40, James has averaged 24.0 points per game, along with 9.3 assists and 8.3 rebounds this season. Now, that is some impressive numbers for a person who is allegedly approaching the twilight of his career. However, despite considering his evergreen status, the latest request from Candace Parker might be too far-fetched for even King James to fulfill. It might not be possible for James to play for long, but he surely has fulfilled another historic feat.
LeBron James Made History By Playing With Bronny James
LeBron and Bronny James created history when the duo appeared on the court together. Competing against the Minnesota Timberwolves, LeBron and Bronny’s pairing was the first time the NBA featured a father-son duo in a regular season game. While Bronny James played for only three minutes, the father and the son rubbed shoulders for the same team. And this made them go crazy. Senior James had a decent outing as he dropped 16 points, and the Lakers registered an emphatic victory.
Adding more intrigue to the story, the jerseys of both LeBron and Bronny James will be up for auction. And while there are still two full weeks before the deadline, Sotheby’s has already reported a whopping $70,000 bidding. Thus, still creating quite the hype, LeBron James remains the star of the NBA, even at 39 years of age.
