We have news of a name well-known to Montreal Canadiens fans.

Goalie Malcolm Subban, who is, of course, P.K. Subban’s younger brother, is back!

He just signed a contract with the Ottawa Senators organization, specifically with the Belleville Senators.

The Belleville Sens have signed goaltender Malcolm Subban to a one-year contract with the American Hockey League.

Welcome to Belleville, Malcolm!

– Belleville Senators.

We’re so happy for him.

Goalie Malcolm Subban Signs with the Ottawa Senators Organization

He’s indeed back where it all started, as Subban was the starting goalie for the Belleville Bulls (OHL) from 2009 to 2013.

It was with this team that he was drafted in the first round of the NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins in 2012.

Subban, age 30, stands 6’2″ and weighs 215 pounds, and was the 24th overall pick in 2012.

In his NHL career of 87 games, he’s earned 36 wins while maintaining a goals-against average of 3.10 and a save percentage of 0.898.

He played one game for the Columbus Blue Jackets last season, during which he allowed three goals on 35 shots.

We wish him the best of luck in Belleville and hope to see him back in the NHL.

More details to follow.
