Man believed to be Baker Mayfield (Photo via News Nation)
Some on social media believed that a man shown jogging through the rain with no shirt on during Hurricane Milton on Wednesday was none other than Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Milton has ravaged Florida this week, battering the southeastern state amid efforts to recover from the damage wrought by Hurricane Helene. The Bucs flew to New Orleans for their upcoming fixture against the Saints early as they anticipated bad weather, but it appears Baker stayed behind,
The video below shows a shirtless man running through the stormy weather while a News Nation reporter relayed events.
“Baker Mayfield was just seen live on TV jogging through #HurricaneMilton in Tampa Bay,” someone wrote as the caption to the clip. “Absolute LEGEND.”

“Relentless!” someone agreed.
Baker Mayfield Or Nah?
Of course, other users were quick to point out that the man in question could not have been Baker Mayfield, as the Bucs flew to New Orleans two days ago.
“With Hurricane Milton approaching, the Buccaneers are evacuating Tampa and heading to New Orleans on Tuesday, ahead of their game there Sunday,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday morning.
“Team was able to secure the necessary hotel rooms in New Orleans to avoid another flight Saturday.”
While Mayfield is known for the occasional odd move, staying off a precautionary team flight so he could take a jog in bad weather is just not something he’s likely to do.
