GK Barry turned down the chance to appear on Strictly Come Dancing in a bid to secure more work with ITV.
The Sun on Sunday told how the YouTube star, 24, is now in talks for I’m A Celebrity, which she thinks would be better for her career in the long run.
GK, real name Grace Keeling, appeared on Loose Women last week and went down a storm, more than holding her own with the other panellists.
A source said: “She did have several meetings with Strictly, but ultimately decided it wasn’t the best fit and is keen to pursue her telly career with ITV.”
In the past celebrities who have appeared in the jungle have gone on to have huge careers with ITV, such as Olivia Attwood.
The source added: “GK is hugely popular with the younger generation and is sharp and quick witted which would translate well to chats around the campfire with other celebs.
“Producers think she has great energy and is highly entertaining.
“She has millions of social media followers, which is a top focus of ITV at the moment. Grace is savvy and knows this is a brilliant opportunity to become more of a household name.
Grace has more than 4.5 million followers across her social media channels and hosts a podcast, Saving Grace, which has featured guests including footie’s Ella Toone and TV presenter Rylan Clark.
She is now being tipped to make millions thanks to her meteoric rise to fame.
Speaking on behalf of Betfred, Celebrity PR Specialist Kayley Cornelius said: “Grace’s appearance on Loose Women is likely just the beginning of the opportunities that will come her way.
“Her ability to captivate audiences, combined with her quick wit, makes her exactly the kind of talent producers crave and if the demand for her continues, she will be on track to reach seven-figure earnings within the next year.
“The future looks bright for Grace, who is currently in an exciting position to take her career in any direction she chooses.
“While her own TV show may still be a few years away, her next move could very well be securing a primary host position on prime-time television.”
