We just had an unacceptable announcement involving Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki of the Montreal Canadiens.
The two Habs players were completely overlooked for the Four Nations Tournament, respectively for Team USA and Team Canada. Unbelievable!
Suzuki is such a complete player who does so much for a team like the Montreal Canadiens. He can play every role and has an absolutely impeccable attitude.
Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield Snubbed
Here are the forwards selected for Canada.
«Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Brad Marchand, Brayden Point, Seth Jarvis, Brandon Hagel, Sam Reinhart, Sam Bennett, Mitch Marner, Mark Stone, Antony Cirelli, Travis Konecny.»
And those chosen for the United States.
«Jack Eichel, Auston Matthews, Matthew Tkachuk, Brady Tkachuk, Matt Boldy, Kyle Connor, Jake Guentzel, Jack Hughes, J.T. Miller, Chris Kreider, Dylan Larkin, Brock Nelson, Vincent Trocheck.»
These are strong lineups, but I definitely believe Suzuki and Caufield deserved a spot.
Imagine being the current best goal scorer for your country but not making the team, it’s exactly the case for Cole Caufield.
It’s disappointing, but on that note, we’d like to congratulate goaltender Samuel Montembeault on his selection and also Armia and Laine who have been selected by Team Finland.
And in your opinion, did the two Montreal Canadiens forwards deserve a place among these groups of forwards?
I’m thinking of Caufield, whose friends are part of Team USA, while he was left out.
What more could he have done to be selected?
