Former NSYNC member Lance Bass has claimed he overheard Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs telling Justin Timberlake to quit the boy band during their final tour, as he said he ‘never liked’ the rapper
Lance Bass, the former NSYNC star, recalled a past encounter with Sean Diddy Combs, claiming he heard him advising Justin Timberlake to ditch the band during their last tour. Chatting on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live Wednesday, Bass didn’t hold back his feelings about Diddy, who was recently arrested and charged with sex trafficking.
Bass expressed his disdain for Combs, saying, “I never liked” him after overhearing those comments. Recounting the incident to host Andy Cohen, Bass said, “I overheard him talking to Justin being like, ‘You need to drop these effers. You need to go solo. You need to drop these,'” and added, “I was like, ‘I don’t like you anymore, Diddy.’ I’m like, ‘At my own show? What the hell!.”
The alleged eavesdropping happened during NSYNC’s Celebrity Tour in 2002, where Diddy was warming up the crowd, reports the Express US. On the topic of an NSYNC reunion, Bass teased fans, stating, “I can finally say we’re in talks now… With the Trolls and the Deadpool movie, it’s really a fever pitch right now. We’d be stupid not to do something. Just hold your breath just a little longer.”
He hinted at future plans by adding, “It’s gonna take a little time, but I think something’s coming.” These revelations come as Combs, aged 54, faces serious allegations following his arrest in New York City on September 16. He is charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting for prostitution.
The indictment against Combs paints a grim picture, accusing him of using his “power and prestige” to set up lurid sexual events known as “Freak Offs,” which often involved drugs and lasted several days. It claims that Combs manipulated and mistreated women for years with assistance from his associates.
For the second time, he was refused bail and continues to be held in federal custody in Brooklyn.
