Louis Tomlinson says mum’s final wish was for him to make peace with Zayn Malik

Louis Tomlinson has revealed that his mother’s final wish was for him to make up with his former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik. Louis said his mother Johannah Deakin urged him to make up with Zayn shortly before she died at the age of 47.

“My mother said, ‘You’ve got to get back in touch with Zayn. Life is [fuckin’] too short'”. “A mother’s intuition is crazy. It’s always seemed supernatural to me. My mother always knew what I was feeling and what I wanted.”

Tensions between Louis and Zayn surfaced when Zayn decided to leave One Direction to pursue a solo career in March 2015. But Louis says there is now “no animosity” between the pair. “I can’t stand holding grudges against anyone,” he said. “I don’t feel good about it. If there’s any animosity, clear it up. I’ve met him and it’s been good.”

Speaking about their friendship, he added: “Zayn was always good to me in the band because he was the guy I went to if I wanted to… have a little fun. I could always break a little rule with Zayn.”
