VIDEO: Shocking New Footage Appears To Show The Person Who Started The Palisades Fire In California
A shocking video appears to show someone starting the Palisades fire amid a rising death toll and billions in damage.
The large blaze continues to sweep across California, having caused remarkable damage and forcing hundreds of thousands to evacuate their homes while several notable sporting events have been impacted.
There has been plenty of talk suggesting that the fire was not borne of natural causes and was instead set by someone.
A video has surfaced online this week appearing to show an individual getting it going.
Check it out below:
According to the authorities, the death toll in Los Angeles has reached 24 and is expected to rise, with searches underway.
The blaze was only 11 percent contained as of Sunday, as several other fires continue to spread. The Eaton fire, for example, was 27 percent contained on Sunday and had covered over 14,000 acres.
Another Fire Is Being Treated As Arson While The Palisades Fire Continues To Ravage California
While there’s widespread suspicion over the Palisades fire being set intentionally, another fire, the Kenneth fire, is being treated as arson.
The LAPD has confirmed that the blaze is being investigated as such and that one person is in custody.
The Kenneth fire is 100 percent contained now but threatened homes near Calabasas and Hidden Hills. Investigators reckon it was set on purpose by someone citizens helped detain.
Still, LAPD Assistant Chief Dominic Choi revealed that there was not enough evidence to arrest the individual for arson, though they were in custody for a felony probation violation.
