We have some good news to report for the Montreal Canadiens today, live from the Bell Centre.

As reported by TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie, three players have returned to the ice during the Habs’ morning practice at the Bell Centre.

Justin Barron, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Kaiden Guhle are all back at practice with regular jerseys

This means Justin Barron, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Kaiden Guhle are all back practicing with their teammates, and, notably, in regular jerseys.

The three are therefore very close to returning to play.

I would still be surprised to see them in uniform tonight, but we’ll get confirmation in the next few minutes.

In any case, we can certainly expect to see them back in uniform as early as this week.

Good news for the Canadiens: Slafkovsky, Guhle, and Barron are all participating in morning practice in regular jerseys. Harvey-Pinard is also around in a non-contact jersey.

This is obviously fantastic news, but it also brings big decisions for Martin St-Louis.

On defense, the returns of Barron and Guhle could push young players like Arber Xhekaj and Logan Mailloux out of the regular lineup, but let’s wait and see.

On offense, it will be interesting to see if Kirby Dach stays on the first line with Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki or if the young Juraj Slafkovsky reclaims his spot.

In short, there are several issues to watch for the Montreal Canadiens with these returns, and MSL’s lineup will certainly be adjusted.

If it were your decision, what would you do?
