Joy Behar also said she’d have a gun if she “needed one,” as the cohosts discussed Kamala Harris telling Oprah Winfrey she’d shoot a home intruder.

Ana Navarro, political commentator and The View cohost who once mounted an all-out military assault on a raccoon who invaded her Miami home, has issued a stern warning to anyone thinking about following in the mammalian intruder’s paws.

While the talk show’s cohosts discussed on Friday morning Vice President Kamala Harris recently telling Oprah Winfrey in an in-depth interview that someone breaking into her home is “getting shot,” panelist Joy Behar entertained the idea of owning a gun for the sake of self-defense.

“She also pointed out that she owns a gun, which I thought was an interesting thing,” Behar said, to which legal expert Sunny Hostin replied, “She’s a former law enforcement officer, I don’t know why people are so shocked at that.”

Behar admitted: “I would have a gun if I needed one, I just don’t approve of those machine guns. I think those are just to kill a bunch of people,” before Navarro turned to the camera to make a statement.

“I have a gun, too,” she stressed. “So, nobody better be coming to my house!”

Ana Navarro tells Golden Bachelorette the dating show is 'too corny'

In October 2023, Navarro previously expressed her desire to defend her queendom, after revealing on the show’s companion Behind the Table podcast that she was, at the time, at war with a raccoon terrorizing her abode.

“I had to do an entire reconstruction of an area of my house,” said. “A raccoon came through a palm frond onto my roof, ate a hole through my roof, it rained, water got in. It has been a disaster. I had to take my guest house down to the studs because of this raccoon. So, let me just say, I hate raccoons, I think they should all die, I don’t care if they’re cute, I don’t care if PETA comes after me. This raccoon needs to die.”
