Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is one of the top names to follow on the trade market between now and the Nov. 5 trade deadline.

Bryce Young was benched in favor of veteran Andy Dalton following back-to-back blowout losses to begin the season. Though Dalton has performed marginally better than Young, the Panthers have lost four straight games and are in the running to land the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

With Carolina in a good spot to secure a top prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, it makes sense to pull the plug on the Young project by dealing him ahead of the trade deadline. It’s obvious that head coach Dave Canales isn’t sold on Young as a long-term starter, after all.

There’s no shortage of QB-needy teams who could use the former Alabama star, but Brian Daboll’s New York Giants especially stand out as a logical landing spot.

The Giants benched starting quarterback and $160 million man Daniel Jones in favor of Drew Lock during their humiliating Week 7 home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Per OvertheCap.com, the Giants can save a whopping $30.5 million in cap space if they cut Jones after June 1 next year.

Daboll got one good year out of Jones in 2022, and he’s widely credited with unlocking the potential of current Bills superstar Josh Allen during his tenure as the Bills offensive coordinator. Perhaps the renowned offensive guru could help Bryce Young enjoy a career revival with a supporting cast led by Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson.

What Giants Should Offer Panthers For Bryce Young

The Giants should offer Carolina a conditional 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 fifth-round pick that an become a fourth depending on playing time. It’s a fair price for a young and highly-touted QB, albeit one who has had an awful start to his NFL career.

New York might as well take a chance on Young and see if he can rejuvenate his career under Daboll. If not, they can always target a new quarterback in the deep 2025 NFL Draft class.
