Arber Xhekaj was questioned about his relationship with Martin St-Louis just moments ago, and he gave a very honest answer.
Contrary to what some may think, Xhekaj has absolutely no issues with his head coach.
The “Sheriff” also received great news today, as he remains in the Montreal Canadiens lineup for today’s game against the Calgary Flames, staying ahead of Justin Barron in the hierarchy.

In a press conference today, the Sheriff was asked by reporters about MSL’s approach toward him, and he had this to say:
«He’s not necessarily harder on me than on the other guys, but he knows my potential,» responded the 23-year-old defenseman. «He wants to see the best version of me. I think he’s pushing me hard, and I like it. We have a good relationship.»
«I believe it will help me in the long run. It’s a long season, and I want a long career. He just wants to see the best from me, and I respect that,» said Arber Xhekaj.
