After losing a close battle against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, the Memphis Grizzlies bounced back to winning ways with a 115-110 win over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday. However, things were not as pleasant for Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant, as he was ejected in the fourth quarter of the game.
Morant received his first technical foul when around eight minutes were remaining in the game. The two-time NBA All-Star received his second tech in the next minute after fouling Kings star DeMar DeRozan. The Grizzlies star’s reaction to the foul call on DeRozan led to his second technical foul, and eventually, Morant was ejected from the game.
Before his ejection, Morant played 28 minutes against the Kings, registering eight points, seven assists, and three rebounds. Marcus Smart and Desmond Bane tied for the most points for Memphis with 18 points a piece. On the other hand, DeRozan led the Kings with 26 points, followed by Malik Monk’s 23-point game.
