Perhaps the greatest player in the NBA right now is Nikola Jokic. The Denver Nuggets, who won the 2023 NBA title, have also built around him well. However, because he is the best player in the NBA right now and his prime cannot be wasted, NBA icon Charles Barkley has urged them to provide him more assistance in light of their recent setbacks.

With an 11-8 record, the Denver Nuggets are now ranked eighth in the Western Conference. Their defeats were preventable and revealed the lack of depth on their bench despite their spectacular wins. Moving ahead, the Nuggets need to strive to make some progress.

Barkley said, “I hope they make a trade. You cannot waste the Joker’s career. He is the best player in the world. They let two guys go off the bench, that were very vital to them winning the championship. Their bench is weaker than water…”

He added, “If you got a guy that great, you gotta win some more. He’s got another five years. When he gets older, his game is still going to be fine because he’s not the most athletic brother in the world. You cannot waste this guy’s prime. This guy is the best player in the world. Get greedy.”

One of the clubs that must be aggressive in the trade market is the Nuggets. They ought to make at least one significant move in February. To reclaim their position as the favorites for the title, they could need to make a deal to get a superstar like Giannis Antetokounmpo or Jimmy Butler.

Nikola Jokic Creates NBA History In Nuggets’ Loss To The Cavs

Another historic season is underway for Nikola Jokic. Jokic maintained that on Thursday, finishing with 11 assists, 20 rebounds, and 27 points. Jokic moved up to third place all-time, surpassing Lakers great Magic Johnson with his 139th career triple-double.

Jokic is setting records and is widely regarded as the frontrunner to earn his fourth MVP award. The stats speak for themselves at the moment, but the Nuggets will need to start winning more games if they want his MVP talk to keep increasing.

According to Basketball Reference’s StatHead, Jokic had at least 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 assists for the fourth time in his career, making it the third-highest total ever. Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson are the only people who have done it more.
