The Love Island USA reunion has past but the drama is still lingering.
Some of the season six cast came together and reminisced on their time in the villa at the anticipated reunion, which aired on Monday, August 19. A total of 25 cast members appeared on the reunion including the four finalist couples and Casa Amor bombshells, including Daia McGhee. The production team gave fans a look at what really happened during Andrea Carmona’s elimination at the fire pit, which caused major controversy after Leah said she “took a backseat” during the vote.
In a fan-captured TikTok live video, Daia recalled the moment Ariana Madix asked the cast on who they believed played a big roll in the elimination process. Olivia Walker or Leah Kateb.
Daia claimed that Ariana asked the cast to raise their hand about who they believed took a backseat after watching the clip and because no one raised their hands, Ariana asked again. Daia did not feel comfortable raising her hand since she was not present the day of the elimination and did not care.

She said: “She [Ariana] said, ‘Come on guys I’ve been on reality a tv show and I’ve gotten treated way worse than you guys and you guys need to pretty much get over it.'”
Daia added: “Respectfully, as a host you don’t say your experience was way worse than what we are going through, because at the end of the day Love Island’s numbers did way bigger.” She continued: “I just feel like as a host of the show it’s your job to not pick favorites. It’s your job to just be the mediator in the situation. It’s your job to ask the questions that people actually want to see.”
Vanderpump Rules fans saw Ariana go through one of the most public breakups in television history. The cameras caught her and her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval speaking on his affair with former castmate and Ariana’s close friend Rachel Leviss. Ariana and Tom split due to the affair after Ariana confronted Rachel about the affair after Ariana saw something on Tom’s phone.
