Liam Payne reveals what his son Bear, 7, looks like now in a rare update as he celebrates his 31st birthday.
The singer has said that his son is the spitting image of him as he posted a video explaining that he would be spending some time with him soon. Liam shares his son Bear with Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole but they choose to keep him out of the limelight.
Liam has now said that the seven-year-old looks like a “mini me” in his latest video. In an Instagram clip he said: “I didn’t get any dad socks yet thought. I’m going to speak to my son in a little bit which I’m really excited about. Bless him. He’s getting so big now. He’s a big boy and he looks like a mini me. As if we needed any more me in the world.”
Cheryl and Liam first got together after her separation from ex-husband Jean Fernandez-Versini who she divorced in 2016. Bear was born in 2017. The former couple first met when he was a contestant on The X Factor and she was a judge.
This come as Liam was branded a “raging misogynist” after he made a comment about his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. The singer starred in one of his 25-year-old partner’s TikTok videos when he made the quip. Ahead of a night out in Manchester, the pair were showing off their outfits in the now-viral clip as she said: “Looking good, nice and covered up for once.”
Fans weren’t so sure about Liam’s review of Kate’s dress, taking to X, formally Twitter, with their complaints about the musician. “I never liked him not even when I was a hormonal teenager,” wrote one follower in a scathing statement on the social media site.
Others pointed out the hypocrisy, given Liam’s topless pictures online. “‘Looking good, nice and covered up for once’ ???? Girl I know you faking that laugh at the end,” wrote one. While someone else said: “The fact that he would always claim to be the ‘nice’ and ‘kind’ one from 1d…. yikes! a soon to be raging misogynist.”
“Liam looks truly uncomfortable I mean you can literally tell from his body language & facial expression,” someone else said. Another added: “It took me until the third instance of me seeing this video to realize that man is LIAM PAYNE?! Wtf.”
However, some jumped to his defence, with someone else commenting: “Why do ppl get so mad when a man expresses how he likes his gf to dress? She obviously still wears what she wants.” (sic) Another added: “So many people think they know exactly what’s going on based on a 6 seconds video. It’s disgusting how so many people find it so easy to hate.”
