Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are getting divorced and it didn’t take long for rumors to swirl that the Gone Girl actor is dating Kathleen ‘Kick’ Kennedy

Ben Affleck has been warned against speaking out further on rumors he’s dating someone new amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

J.Lo filed for divorce from her husband earlier this month and it didn’t take long for speculation to mount that the Gone Girl actor has moved on with Kathleen ‘Kick’ Kennedy. Rumors started after Ben was said to have been hanging out with Kick in Beverly Hills.

They were reported to have been spotted hanging out at the Polo Lounge, but a representative for Ben hit back at the claims and insisted they didn’t even know each other. However, the pair were said to have been close before, enjoying a brief fling before Ben reunited with his now-estranged wife J.Lo.

Sources have claimed Ben is now putting his connection to Kick on pause. “Ben should have said nothing. He tried to erase Kick from his existence, and it was just not fair for her, or for anyone who knows her,” one source said.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, they added: “He is trying to pull the ‘I don’t know her’ card but what he failed to realize is that they weren’t the only two people in the world that knew that they used to hook up, or that they were hanging out again.” They claimed Ben is worried his connection to Kick will impact his divorce from J.Lo.

Another source claimed Ben is worried his connection to Kick will link him to Donald Trump after her father Robert Kennedy Jr endorsed the former US President in his bid for the White House. They explained: “Given the current political climate Ben is putting the brake on Kick.

“But not only because of the Trump connection. He is also concerned about what JLo would think.” The comments come after a representative for Ben spoke out against the romance rumors.

“There is no truth to any of it. I don’t know if they even know each other,” a representative for the actor told People magazine. The comments come after a source had claimed: “They are both taking it day by day but so far, she is enjoying spending time with him.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail, they added: “They hang out at Beverly Hills Hotel because it offers a level of privacy to celebs that nowhere else does.”
