Juan Soto gets ready to start meeting top team prospects for 2025 joining in California. As per Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Toronto Blue Jays will be the first to ask for his services this week, according to major league sources.

The lineup will be followed by the Boston Red Sox, the New York Mets, and the New York Yankees. While Soto played with the Yankees for the 2024 season, he said he’ll give fair chances for all 30 MLB teams to try and woo him with both championship and financial promises.

The biggest names in the race for Juan Soto are undoubtedly the New York teams and the Los Angeles Dodgers. However, there have been a lot of rumors surrounding the Dodgers signing and bringing back a couple of old players, they are also linked with Roki Sasaki.

The Japanese ace, just like Soto is creating waves in the international market. However, the focus of the ongoing race seems to be on Soto. His agent Scott Boras mentioned that Soto will be taking time to speak with each time and make his decision thereafter.

As Soto has talked about his adoration for NY, many are hoping to see him stay in the city either with the Mets or with the Yankees. The current asking price for Soto has risen up to $600 million with rumors of the contract being for 10 years.

Considering how Juan Soto is only 26, he’ll have plenty to offer to any organization he joins. The Yankees were the prime example of it. Along with other pinstripes, he played a key role in the team advancing to the World Series for the first time since 2009.

Mets owner, Steve Cohen who is known for large spending won’t be one to back off easily. However, a Yankee executive recently said how the organization won’t lose Soto to other teams if it comes down to money. Seems like Hal Steinbrenner is ready to bring his A+ game in the Juan Soto acquisition race.

Francisco Lindor allegedly reported to be joining Mets meeting with Juan Soto

In a recent report, it was noted how Francisco Lindor may be part of Steve Cohen’s group and meet Juan Soto in California. Lindor was even seen at the airport in LA making many believe his reason was Soto.

While he himself has denied answering the question, the shortstop was in town for a photoshoot with Oakley and has even returned to his home in Florida. He will not be part of the Steve Cohen, Juan Soto, and Scott Boras meeting.

The meeting between Cohen and Soto is yet to take place. Many are wondering if the Mets owner will also take a look at Boras’ other clients like Blake SnellCorbin Burnes, and Alex Bregman.

The Yankees on the other side have offered Soto 1-year $21.05 million. If he rejects, the team will get a compensation pick for 2025. However, the aim remains to re-sign Soto to give the World Series another shot in 2025.
