VIDEO: Dora The Explorer Totally Roasted Texans QB C.J. Stroud Over Costly Fumble During Nickelodeon Broadcast Of Playoff Game vs. Chargers
Dora the Explorer roasted Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud after a costly fumble by John Metchie III during the Nickelodeon broadcast of today’s Wild Card Round playoff game vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.
On the Texans’ first offensive play of the game, C.J. Stroud found Metchie for a completion just short of the sticks. But Metchie failed to maintain possession and lost the football, which Bolts safety Derwin James recovered for a takeaway.
During the Nickelodeon broadcast, Dora the Explorer popped up on screen and roasted Houston’s star signal-caller:
“Did you see the defensive player? I guess the quarterback didn’t either,” Dora said before sharing a giggle.
It’s hard to blame C.J. Stroud for a routine completion that Metchie should have held onto, but the quarterback did throw a careless interception to Deane Leonard a few drives later. If only Nickelodeon had Dora roast Stroud on that one:
C.J. Stroud Tries To Rally Short-Handed Texans To Victory
The Chargers entered Saturday as a considerable favorite over a Texans team that limped to the finish line. With star wideouts Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell out for the year, Houston’s offense has struggled to move the ball consistently.
But if Stroud can somehow lead Houston to victory, it would say a lot about the resilience and toughness of this team.
