Popular Netflix show “Stanger Things” captured the hearts and minds of viewers around the globe, and WNBA star NaLyssa Smith is a big fan of the acclaimed show. The streaming site confirmed the show’s fifth season will be out in 2025 and revealed the episodes’ titles. Smith took to social media to share her views on the highly anticipated release.

Smith plays with Zhejiang in the WCBA in China, but that has not stopped her from keeping up with her favorite shows. On Wednesday, she shared a “Stranger Things” promotion on her Instagram story about the upcoming release and reacted to the big news with two words.

Fans online are buzzing at the news of Netflix releasing a new season of one of its most popular series. Per Nelson’s 2022 streaming chart, the show was the most streamed and overall watched show in the United States in 2022.

Since releasing in 2016, “Stranger Things” has won several awards, including a Producers Guild of America award. The show has also been nominated for four Golden Globe Awards.

Smith is coming off an eventful season with the Indiana Fever, filled with highs and lows. The Fever qualified for the playoffs for the first after finishing the year with a 20-20 record and grabbed the highest attendance figures in the league. Although the organization had a strong season, Smith saw a drop in minutes and her offensive production was down in comparison to her 2023 numbers.

It is common for WNBA players to sign with foreign teams during the offseason, and NaLyssa Smith opted to play for Zhejiang in China this year. The move will offer the talented forward a lucrative contract, but she is missing some aspects of the United States.

Last month, Smith shared an image on her Instagram story alongside her partner DiJonai Carrington, who plays in the WNBA with the Connecticut Sun. She added a touching message to go with the post:
