VIDEO: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Share Mind-Blowing Behind-The-Scenes Video On How They Book Hotels & Set Up Their Players On Road Trips
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have shown an awesome behind-the-scenes video of all the work that goes into planning their hotel stays when they’re on the road.
In the regular season, NFL teams play eight or nine away games a year, depending on the league’s rotation of the “17th” game between AFC and NFC teams. This year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have eight road games on their schedule.
The Buccaneers shared a behind-the-scenes video of Tim Jarocki, their Senior Director of Team Operations, detailing how he sets his players up for the best possible experience while they’re on the road.
In the video, Jarocki states that he has to book around 200 hotel rooms for the team when they’re on the road. That includes 5-15 suites for ownership and the front office executives.
Additionally, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rent large rooms for their team meetings. They also get separate rooms rented out for players’ injury/recovery treatment, with police officers on the floors for security purposes.
Jarocki rents out an entire floor of rooms for his players for privacy. And if players have a specific request, such as a player wearing No. 55, he’ll assign them a room like 455.
The luxuries of being an NFL player. But the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sure go to greater lengths to ensure the best possible experience for their players when they’re away from home.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Are On Verge Of Another NFC South Crown
The Buccaneers looked finished a few weeks ago when they fell to 4-6 following a frustrating home loss to the San Francisco 49ers. But here they are sitting atop the NFC South with an 8-6 record, thanks largely to an inexplicable collapse by Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons.
Tampa Bay controls their destiny for the division. They just need to win out to lock up the crown for a fourth straight year, and their final three opponents (Dallas, Carolina and New Orleans) all have losing records.
