If you’re wondering why Justin Jefferson isn’t afraid to wear his luxurious $1 million chain during games, you’re not alone.

The Minnesota Vikings superstar wide receiver wears grills and a shiny diamond chain during football games. Now, as great as the necklace looks on the field, some folks wonder why Justin Jefferson isn’t worried about the risk of damage by wearing it during games.

During the Vikings’ Week 9 “Sunday Night Football” clash with the Indianapolis Colts, NBC cameras showed a close-up look of Jefferson’s necklace as well as the diamonds in his teeth:

Per the ML Football X/Twitter account, Justin Jefferson’s explanation for wearing the gorgeous $1 million chain is simple. He’s got any potential damage to the chain covered by insurance.

Jefferson had a field day in Sunday’s win over the Colts, hauling in seven passes for 137 yards. The Vikings emerged victorious by a final score of 21-13 to snap a mini two-game losing skid.

Before the regular season, Jefferson signed a massive four-year contract extension worth $140 million. The new deal made the 2020 first-round pick the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history,

Through his first eight games of 2024, Jefferson has 48 receptions for 783 yards and five touchdowns. At this pace, JJ will easily surpass the 1,000-yard mark for the fifth straight season to begin his career.

Justin Jefferson & Vikings Are On Their Way Back To The Postseason

There’s still half a season to play, but the Vikings are essentially on their way to another postseason appearance. At 6-2, it will take a miserable collapse of epic proportions for Kevin O’Connell’s group to miss out.

The Vikings are two games clear of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers, who are on the outside looking in. Injuries have ravaged the Bucs and 49ers, and Chicago still has six division games on the slate.

Not only are the Vikings a safe bet to make the postseason, but they’ll pose a dangerous threat to whomever they face. This is a well-balanced group on both sides of the ball.
