Novak Djokovic and Grigor Dimitrov have been among the best friends on Tour. Three months ago, the Serb and the Bulgarian enjoyed an exhibition in Sofia, showing their skills and entertaining the crowd in the Bulgarian capital.

Two top-10 stars lead the field of ten players older than 32 in the year-end top-100 list. He conquered Brisbane at the beginning of the season and played well at notable events to stop the clock and achieve the year-end top-10 honor at 33.
Djokovic completed his 17th year-end top-10 season at 37. The legend lost the Australian Open crown to Jannik Sinner after losing to the Italian in the semi-final. Novak experienced an early defeat in Indian Wells and failed to reach the final at the upcoming events.
The veteran entered the Roland Garros title defense with low expectations and suffered a knee injury. Djokovic prevailed over Lorenzo Musetti and Francisco Cerundolo before withdrawing before the quarter-final. Novak underwent surgery on June 5.
The Serb recovered for Wimbledon and reached the title clash at the All England Club. Like a year ago, the Serb fell to Carlos Alcaraz, this time in straight sets, settling with the runner-up spot. Djokovic drew positive vibes from his Wimbledon campaign.He produced his A-game at the Olympic Games in Paris, defeating six rivals in straight sets and writing history books. Novak battled for a gold medal against Carlos and prevailed 7-6, 7-6, adding the desired title to his collection and slowing down his engines.
Djokovic suffered an early US Open defeat and played only one official tournament by the end of the year. Novak reached the Shanghai Masters final, falling to Jannik Sinner in straight sets but confirming another year-end top-10 season.Dimitrov embraced his best run since 2017 following a 46-18 score. The Bulgarian made a perfect start to the season in Brisbane, lifting a trophy over Holger Rune. Grigor played in the ATP 250 Marseille final, falling to Ugo Humbert in straight sets.
The Bulgarian lost to Alex de Minaur in Rotterdam, while Daniil Medvedev defeated him in Indian Wells. The veteran raised his level in Miami. He defeated Hubert Hurkacz, Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev for his second final at the previous three Masters 1000 events.Jannik Sinner ousted Grigor 6-3, 6-1 after a dominant performance, and the Bulgarian turned his focus to clay. He and Holger Rune battled for three and a half hours in a Monte Carlo thriller, with the young Dane prevailing in the closing stages of the decider.
Jakub Mensik and Taylor Fritz halted Dimitrov in Madrid and Rome. Grigor played better in Paris and reached the quarter-final. He faced Jannik Sinner again and fell after a solid resistance. Dimitrov started his beloved grass season with high hopes.He lost at Queen’s to Sebastian Korda and retired against Daniil Medvedev at Wimbledon after struggling physically. The Bulgarian took a break and withdrew from the Olympic Games. He returned in North American and earned one win in Montreal and Cincinnati.
Grigor’s second Major quarter-final of the season came at the US Open. Dimitrov took advantage of a favorable draw and entered the last eight. He endured a five-setter in the fourth round and faced the home favorite Frances Tiafoe.
The veteran lost steam and retired despite giving everything to fight until the end. Grigor represented Team Europe at the Laver Cup. He earned two victories before reaching the last 16 at the Shanghai Masters. Dimitrov reached his third ATP final of the season in Stockholm.He fell to Tommy Paul in straight sets, finishing runner-up but keeping his chances of reaching Turin alive. However, that task became much more challenging following an early loss at the ATP 500 event in Vienna. Dimitrov wrapped up the season in Paris.
